9 to 5 Google’s report has revealed that the latest Apple Music Beta version test is being carried on in the Android OS. In the Apple Music Android app, the users get two streaming options; the first of which is optimized for high-quality streaming, and the second is to save data. The Apple Music 3.6.0 beta version in Android is testing the new lossless audio streaming option, and the users will soon get its stable update.

The lossless audio files retain all the details of the original file. Streaming music in this mode also costs more data than listening in the standard quality. For example, a song of about three minutes can use up to 36MB of data during lossless streaming, while it uses 1.5MB at high efficiency and 6MB at the highest quality. At the same time, the high-resolution lossless streaming may cost up to 145MB of data.

The Publication has stated in its report that Apple will also give Android users two options in lossless audio streaming. Selecting ‘Lossless’ from that will provide 48kHz audio output, while listeners choosing ‘High-Race Lossless’ will able to hear audio up to 192kHz. Recently, it has been revealed that Apple is also testing Hi-Fi audio in iOS 14.6 beta. In such a situation, it is possible that this audio streaming service can be delivered to the users soon.

Apple is getting tough competition from the music streaming application Spotify as it has also captured a large user base on iOS.This year, Spotify will also bring its Spotify HiFi service, and with this, the users will be given the option to stream in ‘CD quality, lossless audio format.’ In addition, the Spotify HiFi users will get the chance to stream uncompressed sound files, meaning that users will be able to listen to the music as recorded by the artist.
