The global car company BMW has released the official photos of its latest Model 2 Series coupe and has indicated that the final testing of the car has been started. From this, it can be guessed that now the final stage of the car development process is going on, and BMW can announce the launch of the car soon. During the final testing, the car was completely covered with camouflage, which did not reveal the car’s look. But it can be anticipated that the upcoming BMW 2 Series coupe will have an updated two-piece kidney grille with a sloping roofline and a sculpted bonnet. Along with that, it is also expected to have a 6-cylinder petrol engine.
The two-door model is expected to have integrated DRLs for lighting, LED fog lamps, and headlights with wrap-around LED DRLs. The Black-out B-pillars can also be seen in the car. Along with that, it will also have ORVM and multi-spoke alloy wheels. The company is also investigating drivetrain and suspension systems to be handy in racetrack-like conditions. They will be used to enhance the alignment of the all-wheel-drive system with the M-sports differential in the rear-axle transmission.
Along with the exterior, the company has also not revealed the interior design and look of the vehicle. However, it is supposed to have a spacious cabin with a steering wheel, a 2-zone automatic climate control system, keyless entry, and cruise control. The Adaptive M chassis is offered as an extra option in the car. For safety, the vehicle is also expected to have ABS with multiple airbags, a rear-view camera, traction control, brake assist, and EBD. The powertrain of the BMW 2 Series coupe has not been given yet. But leaked information indicates that the car is expected to have a 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor making 374hp. That means that the car will be powered by a powerful 6-cylinder engine with a balanced axle load of 50:50. The engine is mated to an 8-speed tectonic sport transmission and all-wheel-drive system. It will have a torsion resistance body structure that will enhance the balance between sportiness and comfort riding.
The official price of the Next Generation BMW 2 Series Coupe is expected to be announced later this year at the time of its launch. However, it should be priced slightly higher than the previous Gran Coupe variants of the 2 Series. The price of this variant, which came in 2020, starts at $ 35,900. Following that, the price of the 2 Series Coupe may be slightly more than that.
