Evolet Launches Electric Vehicle In India: Price From ₹ 39,499

Evolet brand launched by an electric mobility start-up Rissala Electric Motors Private Limited (REM). The company has launched a range of electric scooters in India including Pony, Pony, and Derby. All scooters of Evolet brand are available in two trims-EZ and Classic. From the aforementioned two trims, EZ trims are cheaper because they are powered by VRLA battery, where VRLA refers to a valve-regulated lead-acid battery. VRLA battery has a lesser life cycle as compared to Lithium-ion batteries. Along with this Classic trims are powered by Lithium-ion batteries.

Apart from this, the price of the electric scooter ranges from Rs 39,499 to Rs 59,999 and all-terrain electric vehicles called Warrior is priced at Rs 1.40 lakhs.

All three including Polo Pony, Pony and Derby are low-speed electric scooters. Along with this, the launched bikes are low speed, low range and do not require a license to ride. The overall launched products under Evolet brand include Polo Pony EZ (₹ 39,499), Polo Pony Classic (₹ 49,499), Polo EZ (₹ 44,499), Polo Classic (₹ 54,499), Derby EZ (₹ 46,499), Derby Classic (₹ 59,999), Hawk (NA) and Warrior (₹ 1,40,000). All mentioned prices are ex-sh.

The Polo scooter of entry-level is powered by a waterproof brushless DC motor offering output of 250 watts and claims a top speed of 25 km/h and a range of 60 km on a full charge. Polo Pony gets a 48/V24 Ah valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery pack and the Derby is also offering two variants including EZ and Classic.

Apart from this, the electric quad bike, Warrior is powered by a 3000-watt waterproof BLDC motor offering a top speed of 60 mph and a reverse speed of 20 km/h. The bike is powered by a 72 V/40 Ah lithium-ion battery with a range of 50 km per charge. Moreover, the company is also offering a 3 years warranty on the battery and 18 months on the electric motor.

According to research done by Value Market Research, the global electric scooter market is growing on account of the rising need for eco-friendly vehicles because of the growing concerns about the emission of carbons and other harmful gases into the environment.

The company has its manufacturing facility in Bilaspur, Haryana along with the area of 1 lakh sq. ft.
