Nissan has developed a golf ball that can’t miss the hole, basically it’s a self-driven golf ball. The company has shown the working of the ball in a promotional video, which allows anyone to sink jaw-dropping putts with little more than the ability to strike the ball.
The company mentioned it into the project title ProPILOT Golf Ball, which is inspired by “ProPILOT 2.0” installed in the new skyline. With the ProPILOT 2.0 technology, various driving assistance to the destination is inbuilt in the ball and now a golf ball can change lane and overtake. Furthermore, Nissan has used an overhead camera, which is designed to detect the position of the ball and cup. Apart from this, the ball can also calculate the correct route and according to that, the ball can adjust the speed and trajectory, along with the way via an internal electric motor. Also, according to research done by Value Market Research, Global Golf Ball Market is gaining growth on account of technological advancement. In addition to this, increasing disposable income in emerging economies and the development of new golf courses are again accelerating market growth.
On Nissan’s website, the company has mentioned that the advance professional pilot technology is closer to autonomous driving. Along with this, the technology has route driving with high precision map data, which can not only enable hands-free driving but can also provide consistent driving assistance to highway exits.
